The college provides a foundation for all student learning at the University by assisting in the development of students' critical and analytical skills, foundational oral and written skills in both English and other world languages, and awareness of the global forces that have shaped, and continue to shape, the modern world. With the four major programs offered, the College of Liberal Arts aspires to provide high-quality, student-focused teaching and research opportunities in communication and media studies, the humanities, the fine and performing arts and the social sciences.

Applied Liberal Studies
Students will receive education with exposure to different ways of thinking, different topics, and novel ideas. The student has the freedom to create their own plan of study that brings together multiple ideas and disciplines.
General Education
With a broad network of courses, tests and extra-curricular experiences, this program is aimed at ensuring a common core of liberal arts knowledge, skills and collegiate experiences for all Morgan students.
Screenwriting & Animation
This cinematic arts and sciences major is the most technology immersive program in the College of Liberal Arts. SWAN lays the groundwork for evolving artists, filmmakers, and content producers to forge career paths in entertainment, education, science, and business at a time when visual storytelling is the dominant narrative form of the 21st Century.
Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies
Through exploring living conditions of women in the United States and worldwide, this program conducts research and produces significant arguments that alleviates oppression and facilitates intercultural and cross-cultural communication about gender and sexuality.
